Overnight Oats With Chia Seeds

Overnight oats are one of my favorite quick and easy recipes for busy mornings! I tried to make chia pudding and absolutely hated the texture. Adding chia seeds is great nutritionally as they are a great source of plant-based protein and omega-3 fatty acids. I wanted to make a chia pudding that wasn’t a goopy weird mess. Overnight oats are already delicious and nutritious without chia seeds over night oats are still nutritious. For a person who eat no animal products it’s always a good idea to add sees when possible.

Here’s a trick how to enjoy overnight oats with chia seeds without the goopy weirdness!

Chia Seed Overnight Oats

APPLES! Adding chopped up apples into your overnight oats adds texture! Including chopped apples takes away from the goopy texture from the chia seeds. Apples give a little crunchy texture which creates a different mouth feel.

When first creating this overnight oat recipe I was going for a chai recipe , but stopped after adding cinnamon, lol! Nonetheless, these overnight oats are delicious and easy for a quick morning breakfast.

Chai Seed Overnight Oats

Recipe

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • 2 Tbsp chia seeds

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • 1 cup almond milk

  • ½ apple diced

Instructions

  1. Add everything into a mason jar, shake well to mix and store in the fridge!

Notes

Recipe makes 1 serving, make as many jars as you need for the week.
